How do i put an announcement on k-ahs or the scroll?:

click here for all things concerning announcements

What can i do for extra credit?:

If you would like to add one point to your final six weeks grade, then write a blog entry! All blog entries must be accompanied by a picture that is relative to the topic about your blog. You may borrow my camera to take a picture. Do not use a picture that you find online.  Blog entries are due the last day of the six weeks. You can talk about anything in your entry as long as it pertains to the class. It can be a funny story, a reflection about the six weeks, or anything that you want to talk about really. Entries should be long enough to convey your point, and there is no real mandatory on length. For examples of past blogs go to the home page

Simply write your blog in the body of an email, attach your picture,  and send it to gil.garcia at austinisd.org

I might have you make revisions to it, (make it longer) or I might edit it (I usually have to change "intro to media" to "AV production")

I might not post your blog, but i will give you credit. (sometimes people blog about the same things)

How do I get into the class that produces the K-AHS show?

The students that run k-ahs are either third year students in the AV Practicum class (junior varsity) or fourth year students in the AV Practicum 2 class (varsity). If you want to be on k-ahs you have to take the introductory course called A/V production. There is no pre-requisite for A/V production. If you pass the class, then you must take Advanced A/V production. Your performance in both classes determines your ranking to get into the third year Practicum class (JV K-AHS). We only accept 24 students into the class.

In the second grade I fell off a ski lift. I fell and hit my head on a rock. Thats the top scar. In college, I was dancing with the wrong woman at a bar and got clocked with a long neck. Thats the bottom scar.

What do your tattoos mean? Did it hurt?
The left arm represents Cuauhtemoc (history) and is a reminder to strike first, to take action, to attack. As in, you have to go out and work for the life that you want, it will never come to you.  The right arm represents Quetzalcoatl, (mythology). So there you have it, the history and mythology of my origins. Yes, they hurt.
